This is the philosophy behind the programs that Sarah and Applewood Ministries will be trying to implement in Muskegon. Basically the philosophy is that programs need to look at the community as a whole. Rather than just starting an after school tutoring program for kids, community development looks at how such a program will affect more than the kids, but will affect the parents, and the schools as well. As we get a better understanding of this guiding philosophy we will add to this page so you can have a better idea of the philosophy that is guiding Sarah's work.
